Many patients notice a visible improvement within a few days, with full results achieved over a couple of weeks.
If your teeth and gums are healthy and free from decay or gum disease, you are likely suitable for whitening. Your dentist will carry out a full assessment before recommending the best option for you. Whitening is not suitable for crowns, veneers, or dentures, and results can vary depending on your natural tooth colour and the type of staining.
With good oral hygiene and regular dental care, results can last up to two years. Lifestyle factors such as smoking or consuming staining foods and drinks can reduce this time, so occasional top-up treatments may be recommended.
